This weeks Country is Liechtenstein!

Liechtenstein is a tiny, wealthy, doubly-landlocked principality in the Alps sandwiched between Austria and Switzerland.

If you split the entirety of New York city’s population into groups of the amount of inhabitants in Liechtenstein you would have roughly 218 groups of people!

Liech while being an independent country does not have its own army nor its own currency and instead uses Switzerland’s.

It is possible to rent the entire country for about $70,000 per night, which includes custom street signs and keys to the city.

There is no international airport, although there is a small heliport. Its the 6th smallest country in the world!

Liechtenstein is actually double landlocked! Both of the countries that border Liechtenstein—Austria to the north and east and Switzerland to the south and west—are themselves landlocked. The only other country in this category is Uzbekistan.
